Episode 177: Research-Informed Parenting with Jen Lumanlan from Your Parenting Mojo

This episode features an interview with Jen Lumanlan from Your Parenting Mojo. In her own words, “I don’t have much in the way of parenting instinct but I make up for it with outstanding research skills.” Interestingly, by way of analyzing the research on parenting and starting her own podcast, she has been able to develop a true intuition and ease for parenting. Jen has a blog and podcast called Your Parenting Mojo that looks to the research to answer questions like “How do you parent a highly sensitive child” or “How do you use non-violent communication with kids?”

This episode is an interesting one because we actually dive deep into problem solving some issues I was having with my own kids at the time. I actually held off on releasing this for a while because I felt like I may have been a bit defensive or negative. Jen was awesome though. Funny enough, the issues that we talked about are largely non-issues now just a couple months later. Kids amirite?
